Step 1 of 2What makes a good tarot question

What makes a good tarot question

The clearer your question, the clearer the reading. A vague “what will happen to me?” gets an equally vague answer, while a specific question gives the cards something to work with.

  • Start with “how” or “what”: such questions open up a situation rather than closing it with a yes or no
  • Ask about yourself and your own choices, not about another person’s thoughts and feelings
  • Pick a near horizon, such as a month or a few weeks
  • Avoid questions where any answer would frighten you: settle yourself first
